Forget Your Troubles, Get Happy

During our recession, like the depression of the thirties, Hollywood is thriving. At that time, when nearly 25% of the workforce was jobless and wages fell almost 43%, escapist films were the most popular: The Wizard of Oz (1939), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) and Gone with the Wind (1939). So also, today, we like escapist films. So far, the top three films this year are: a science fiction film, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, another Harry Potter and UP, an animated film. As the lyrics of a song, popular in the thirties explains: "Forget your troubles, common get happy, chase all your blues away," at least for a while.

Although we are presently not as bad off as the thirties, our problems are more complex. America's failing schools, imploding financial system, growing poverty, environmental destruction and the takeover of government by big corporations requires fundamental change. Gearing up to fight the Second World War ended the Great Depression. The two wars we are fighting today are driving us deeper in debt.

The fundamental problem is that we are living at a time when our technology has created an environment on this planet that has never before existed; our former solutions to problems no longer work - they are what created our present dilemma. This is a period of transition between the end of the Industrial Age and the beginning of the new age of... who knows? The fundamental question for our times is: can we get smart enough, fast enough, to progress to another Age of Enlightenment - or will we regress to another Dark Age?

Positive or negative, change is stressful: losing a job or starting a new one, winning the lottery or losing your savings, are all stressful. Change is synonymous with uncertainty; like getting married, we can't know ahead of time, for sure, what the outcome will be. What we do know is that change we must, if we are to avert catastrophe - on a global scale. President Roosevelt brought America into WWII against great popular resistance. President Obama has accurately defined the problems we face and is carefully laying the groundwork for new solutions; the resistance he faces is formidable.

We cannot stop the world from changing; what we can change is how we respond to events. Instead of stress, we can respond with courageousness, calmness and peace. We are already on a roller coaster ride into an uncertain future;we can't get off, but we can enjoy the ride.

You, and only you, can change how you respond to life; if you are interested, quantum psychology tells you how. If you do the work, not only will you be able to enjoy life, exactly the way it is, but you will acquire the open mind that is needed to create new ideas, nudge events in the direction of social progress - and go to the movies.

Since childhood, Jean's quest has been the search for knowledge, which is synonymous with power. Her intent is to empower individuals looking to jump start their psychological evolution and achieve higher consciousness. Her book, The Greatest Escape: Travel the Quantum Path to Personal Freedom, providers readers with the theory underlying two quantum personal growth techniques, which produce immediate results, without talking about problems. Plenty of colorful pictures enhance the learning and make the book fun to read. More information can be found at http://www.quantumboyd.com

Trying Too Hard May Be the Single Barrier to Your Experience of Happiness

I promise you if you have been working hard on manifesting your dreams, you are probably a thin veil away from watching it come into existence. The space for its existence is likely the only missing element. Later you will get very clear that what you are looking for matters greatly. A person who has been working for years, seemingly going round and round trying to make something happen is not 'expecting' that today is going to be drastically different than yesterday. What's missing is the space and when you are clear about what that is, you can create as much as you like. Let's look at why trying too hard is resistance and not space creating.

Some people I know seem to have no reason to be less than happy, and if they weren't trying so hard to be happy they might discover they already were. By staying in this mode called 'I haven't arrived yet' not only prevents one from experiencing happiness and joy of the moment, it also inhibits their opportunity to ride the next wave. Much of this has to do with not being able to recognize that what one is seeking is the experience of life and not the appearance of life. Things are not fixed, they are brought into existence first at the level of energy and it grows into physical form. Everything you have ever desired exists at one level or another, but they are always alive the conception of the idea. The things you have been working on are alive already.

Happiness and joy is a state of freedom, pure space and a condition of no resistance. We are naturally seeking better feeling emotions and this is a path necessary for life expansion. The trap is to fail to recognize that unless you give up the notion that you are not already happy you will believe something outside and separate from you is the source of it. If you have 'money problems' and you say you can not be happy until you have money, then it would be better to work on being happy and the money will come.

Energy precedes everything in the physical universe, even your thoughts. Unless you can experience being happy exactly where you are, you are saying you are not happy, and that is what you get, instantaneously. The moment you let go of the tight grip you have on that emotion, releasing it with the intent to feel better, even just a little bit better, you create the space for the circumstances to change. The bottom line is, being in a place of happiness is a path of least resistance for the movement for like thoughts to easily move towards one another.

The more happiness and joy you notice you are experiencing the more becomes available to you. Only a small portion of your time on earth has been unhappy. Shine light there and on what is to come. There is a difference in experiencing it and acknowledging that you had something to do with it. It is like those individuals who never get their own beauty and are always trying to improve upon it. They don't get to enjoy it as they are continually in the mode, of being less than what they desire. Or the ballplayer that has tremendous talent but comes from the point of view that he or she is not good enough or capable enough.

One way to see this is to know that your experience of the energy force in your life is ongoing and never ending. What you are calling forth in your experience is adding to what is formulating and soon to be in the physical appearance of life. It may not seem that way to you but at one level it is pure physics. To think that you don't matter is to fail to recognize that without you, the deliberate intention to focus attention could not be. Knowing you are alive is something privy to you.

Focusing awareness on the intelligence of our higher self is worthwhile. It knows even when you forget. Your actions speak to your intent and your higher self moves to bring life to what you are giving attention. So if your actions suggest that you do not feel you have arrived yet, the appearance of life will validate your perception and you can not experience otherwise. To understand that at every instance you are receiving what you have attention on can be beyond your comprehension, but when you can see that things come into existence from a place of energy first, you see that all along the way all that you have been asking for through your actions will remain in non-physical form until it manifests.

You attract what you give attention to and though you may not recognize it as your intention, it never the less is. What you expect, as in your fixed expectations, is what you look for, consciously or not. You intend to find what you are looking for and it is always fits in your expectations. You can however deliberately choose better feeling thoughts about any subject.

As soon as you realize what you want is created and has been building itself by attracting likeness, you will realize it needs the space in which to grow. This is partly what was meant by the action of resting on the seventh day. This is more relevant than you can imagine. Let the fruits of your desire unfold according to the natural brilliance of the universe. Give it the space of no resistance, the space of allowing it to be, just as we do the seeds after planting them. Appreciate it for its divine nature. Feel the idea of letting go and letting it grow. Allow yourself some space to let your higher self do the job.

Happiness - How Can You Measure It?

Want to know how to measure your happiness level? Wouldn't you like to know when your life is actually moving you toward your dreams?

Sometimes you move forward but fail to notice your progress. Your goals seem so far away that you just do not notice the small steps each day-the steps that do move you toward Your Very Excellent Life.

I developed a series of teachniques (not a typo - what I call my teaching methods) that empower you to make your life work in ways you can clearly measure.

When I work with people on a 1:1 basis I start out looking at a client's values and priorities using my teachnique Values-Priorities-Direction VPD. Next step is formulating goals and affirmations that work (as opposed to how most gurus teach them) using my teachnique Personal Meaning Quotient (PMQ).

You then need a way to measure your happiness level so you can tell when you feel better and your life works more easily. To accomplish that end I developed the Personal Happiness Quotient (PHQ), basically a way to measure your level of happiness across your life.

Why would anyone want a way to measure abstract concepts like life values and happiness? In business the simple answer is that you can control what you can measure. Makes sense for your personal life too. I want you to stop and think about this for a moment. You know you are not happy about a particular relationship.

What if you could determine just how unhappy you are and set yourself a goal of increasing that level in 6 weeks?

Knowing you want to meet your goals you can now take specific actions to boost your happiness in exactly the areas that will complete the picture making a happier you.

With a means to measure your progress you can see if you are on track or need to put in extra effort to meet your own deadline.

STOP! Are you about to give up the life changes that will let you be happy forever?

If you can't be happy when you are alone with yourself, what chance do you have of being happy in a relationship? Go to http://LiveInHappinessNow.com/ebook.html and grab my Special Report: 45 Tips: How To Live In Happiness Now. And remember... Don't give up hope... You deserve to be happy
